Asma Jahangir Group takes lead in Pakistan Bar Council elections

LAHORE: The Asma Jahangir group has emerged victorious in the Pakistan Bar Council elections, winning the most seats in Punjab.

The Asma Jahangir group has won 8 out of 11 seats in the Punjab of the Pakistan Bar Council.

Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar said that the Asma Jahangir group has won 8 out of 11 seats in Punjab, while the candidates of the Hamid Khan group have won two seats, and the results are yet to come for one seat.

Salman Akram Raja and Shafqat Chohan of the Hamid group have been elected members of the Pakistan Bar Council.

Azam Nazir Tarar, Ahsan Bhawan, Pir Masood Chishti, Aamir Saeed Raan, Tahir Nasirullah Warich, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry, Saqib Akram Gondal, and Syed Qalb Hassan of the Asma Jahangir group have been elected members of the Pakistan Bar Council.

The final result of the success of the candidates of the Pakistan Bar Council will be announced on December 22.

Meanwhile, 4 members of the Pakistan Bar Council were also elected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Naveed Akhtar, Advocate of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Rehmanullah Shah, Advocate of Malgari Lawyers, Sattar Khan, Advocate of Insaf Lawyers Foundation and Qazi Arshad of ILM, the lawyers wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, have been elected members of the Pakistan Bar Council.
