BAJAUR: At least five people, including Assistant Commissioner Nawagai, were killed in a deadly bomb blast in the Nawagai area of Bajaur district on Wednesday.
According to the police, a government vehicle was targeted in the blast in the Siddiqabad railway crossing area of Khar Tehsil.
As a result of the explosion, Assistant Commissioner Nawagai Faisal Sultan, two police personnel — Subedar Noor Hakim and Constable Rashid — Tehsildar Nawagai, and a citizen were also martyred, while;e 10 others were injured.
The wounded were shifted to Khar Hospital, where emergency treatment is underway. The police have surrounded the area, and the investigation is ongoing.
