LAKKI MARWAT: A devastating explosion occurred near a Pakistan Army vehicle in Wanda Simo area of Lakki Marwat on Sunday, resulting in the martyrdom of two soldiers and injuring three others.
The blast, believed to be an improvised explosive device (IED), destroyed the vehicle. This incident comes just a day after a deadly suicide attack in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area, where 13 security personnel lost their lives and three civilians, including two children and a woman, were severely injured.
The attack was strongly condemned by the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which stated that it was “planned and orchestrated by the terrorist state of India, and executed by its proxy Fitna al Khwarij”.
In the recent attack, a vehicle-borne suicide bomber attempted to target a security forces convoy but was intercepted by the leading group, foiling his nefarious design.
