Balochistan announces closure of all educational institutions tomorrow

QUETTA: A wheel jam strike has been announced for tomorrow in Balochistan, following the failure to recover a missing young student. As a result, all educational institutions in the province, including schools, colleges and universities will remain closed.

The Education Department confirmed that due to the strike call, all educational institutions in the province will be shut. Political parties and trade organizations have expressed their support for the strike.

This follows a previous shutter-down strike in Quetta last week in protest against the abduction of a businessman’s son, which was also supported by political parties.

Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Nasrullah Zehri stated that all parties and civil society groups, including school children willl participate in tomorrow’s protest. JUI leader Abdul Qadir expressed concerns over the safety of schoolchildren in the province, while National Party leader Chingiz Baloch exphasized taht this issue concerns all of Balochistan, not just the family of the missing child.
