Larkana: In a passionate address to a public gathering in Larkana, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari affirmed his commitment to safeguarding the party’s mandate in the upcoming General Elections 2024. He declared that he would not allow anyone to snatch the party’s mandate and pledged to take all necessary measures to ensure its protection.

During his speech, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for engaging in what he described as politics of hatred, division, and victimization. He vowed to “bury” such politics if the PPP is voted into power.

Targeting PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserted that Nawaz Sharif’s desire to become prime minister for the fourth time is fueled by personal motives. He expressed skepticism over Nawaz Sharif’s intentions, suggesting that even if Nawaz Sharif were to regain power, he would raise the question of “Mujhe Kiyun Nikala” (why I was removed) within six months.

Encouraging the public to support the PPP’s electoral symbol, the “Arrow,” Bilawal urged voters to reject the PML-N’s electoral symbol, the “Lion.”

Highlighting the importance of the upcoming elections, Bilawal emphasized the need to address the country’s severe economic crises, which he attributed to the ego-driven politics of certain individuals. He criticized rival parties for their failure to announce election manifestos on time and for their limited campaign outreach.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated his party’s commitment to facilitating farmers and bringing about an “agricultural revolution.” He promised direct aid to farmers through a proposed Kisan Card and pledged to redirect the Rs15 billion subsidy currently allocated to elites towards public welfare initiatives if the PPP is elected to power.
