RAWALPINDI: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi, on Monday, announced a significant extension in the admission submission schedule for the First Annual Examinations 2026.

The SSC exams, which will mark the first full-scale annual matric examinations after years of pandemic-disrupted cycles, are set to begin on March 3, 2026.
Responding to repeated requests from students, parents, and school heads, the Board has pushed the deadlines well into the New Year.

Candidates can now submit their online admission forms for a single cost till December 10, 2025, according to a BISE Rawalpindi representative who talked with reporters. Those who miss this window will still have until December 23 with a double fee and until January 6, 2026, with a triple fee.

Even after the third last date, the admission forms will continue to be accepted until February 10, 2026, with triple fee plus a daily late fine of Rs. 200, and till February 20, just ten days before the papers begin, with an enhanced daily penalty of Rs. 700.0.

“The decision has been taken purely in the interest of students,” the spokesman said.

He emphasized that while the online submission window remains open, the hard copy of the admission form, cut list (for institutions), original bank challan of MCB, and printed copy of the online submission receipt must reach the Board office by hand or registered post within the respective deadlines.

“Online submission alone is not enough,” he informed and added, “If the hard copies are not received on time, the higher fee slab will automatically apply.”

“We don’t want any child to miss the examination just because of procedural delays”, he said.

For technical or procedural help, the Board has activated dedicated helplines, including direct access to the Assistant Controller (Matric).
