Boiler blast in Faisalabad factory kills, more feared trapped

FAISALABAD: A boiler explosion at a chemical factory in Malikpur area of ​​Faisalabad caused a terrible explosion, after which a fire broke out in the factory.

According to rescue officials, at least 12 people lost their lives in the accident while several others were injured.

The intensity of the explosion was so high that the roofs of nearby houses also collapsed, which is causing difficulties in rescue activities.

Officials say that there is a risk of an increase in the death toll as many people are feared to be buried under the rubble.

Rescue teams are at the scene and work is underway to control the fire and remove the debris.

According to rescue sources, 9 people have been pulled out of the rubble so far and shifted to a nearby hospital.
