Local public holiday announced in Matiari: Here’s why!

Matiari: A public holiday has been declared across the district on the occasion of the 10th death anniversary of Makhdoom Amin Fahim, a senior leader of the Sarwari Jamaat and a unique figure in Pakistan’s national politics.

A formal notification has been issued in this regard, after which government offices, educational institutions and several private offices will remain closed tomorrow.

According to the details, the death anniversary of Makhdoom Amin Fahim will be celebrated with great devotion and respect in Hala tomorrow, where devotees of the Sarwari Jamaat from all over the country, political activists, social leaders and people from different walks of life will participate.

The main gathering, prayers and Quran recitation will continue throughout the day in Hala, while a large number of pilgrims are expected to visit the dargah.

The Matiari district administration has also completed strict security arrangements on the occasion of the death anniversary. Special duties have been assigned to the police, traffic personnel and rescue teams so that all possible facilities can be provided to the participants. Additional personnel have been deployed at the city’s entrances, highways and important places.
