ISLAMABAD: According to a report, the AS Level Mathematics P1 paper was allegedly leaked hours before students were scheduled to appear for the exam.
The report stated that this was the third disruption linked to paper leaks during the current examination season. Authorities are now investigating claims that exam papers were being openly marketed online through Discord-linked platforms and other social media channels.
Alongside the alleged leak, false claims regarding other Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) papers also circulated online, creating panic and uncertainty among candidates preparing for exams.
In Pakistan, thousands of students appear in Cambridge Assessment International Education exams during the May-June and November sessions. The exams cover subjects including Mathematics, English Literature, and Islamiyat for O Levels, AS Levels, and A Levels.
The controversy has intensified concerns over exam security and fairness, especially as CAIE results play a key role in university admissions and are expected to be announced in August.
Officials are reportedly examining digital evidence and online activity linked to the alleged leak and misinformation campaign as part of the ongoing cybercrime probe.
