Cement price increase across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The retail prices of cement in the country recorded a slight increase during the last week.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities last week was recorded at Rs 1381, which is 0.44 percent more than the previous week. At the end of the previous week, the price of cement per sack was Rs 1375.

The average retail price of cement per sack in southern cities was recorded at Rs 1449, which is 0.07 percent more than the previous week. The retail price was recorded at Rs 1448.

During the past week, the average retail price of cement per sack in Islamabad was Rs 1377, Rawalpindi Rs 1370, Gujranwala Rs 1400, Sialkot Rs 1360, Lahore Rs 1447, Faisalabad Rs 1400, Sargodha Rs 1403, Multan Rs 1392, Bahawalpur Rs 1393, Peshawar Rs 1353 and Bannu Rs 1300.

The average retail price of cement per sack in Karachi was Rs 1389, Hyderabad Rs 1435, Sukkur Rs 1530, Larkana Rs 1407, Quetta Rs 1490 and Khuzdar Rs 1443.
