Construction costs rise as cement prices increase

KARACHI: The price of cement per bag has increased by Rs 30 to Rs 50, as this increase has come at a time when cement exports recorded an overall decline of more than 20 percent during December 2025.

According to reports, cement exports from the southern region decreased by 7.14 percent in December 2025 to 621,685 tons, while in the same month last year, this quantity was 669,461 tons.

There were no exports from cement mills established in the northern regions in December 2025.

Similarly, cement exports from the northern region decreased by 18.53% from July to December 2025, and exports remained at 808,506 tons, while in the same period last year, this quantity was 992,413 tons.
