LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced the eligibility requirements together with the distribution timetable for the Ramzan Nigehban Card, which aims to assist low-income families throughout the province.

The officials reported that data collection has reached 94% completion, while the team will finish their work in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other cities by 5th February.

The program targets families with a monthly income of 45,000 PKR or less, ensuring financial assistance reaches those who need it the most. Under this initiative, approximately 42 lakh families across Punjab will benefit from the card during the holy month of Ramzan.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant’s monthly household income must be 45,000 PKR or less.

  • The program is intended for low-income and financially struggling families.

  • Only residents of Punjab are eligible to apply.

  • Families must go through a government verification process to confirm their financial status.

  • Applicants must provide accurate and truthful information — false details may lead to disqualification.

  • Preference will be given to families most in need of assistance during Ramzan.

  • Only one card per eligible family/household will be issued.

  • Families already receiving certain government aid programs may be reviewed under specific policy rules.

The authorities established the scheme to assist poor families who need help, while they will conduct thorough verification processes for all applicants to maintain fair and open procedures.

The organization is working to complete all pending areas, which will allow eligible families to obtain their cards at the scheduled time.
