PESHAWAR: Peshawar has witnessed a decline in live chicken prices, bringing some relief to consumers. The price of live chicken has dropped by Rs 10 per kilogram, after which chicken meat has also become cheaper.
According to the market, the price of live chicken has decreased from Rs385 to Rs375 per kilogram. The new rates have been officially implemented as per the government’s price list.
It is worth noting that just last week, the price of broiler chicken meat had increased by Rs29 per kilogram in the local market.
On the other hand, egg prices have moved in the opposite direction. A rise of Rs30 per crate of eggs was recorded, pushing the price of a crate up to Rs10,500.
