Chicken prices increased in Karachi

KARACHI: The price of chicken meat has increased significantly, Chicken meat is being sold for up to Rs 700 per kg in Shahr-e-Quaid, live broiler chicken is available for Rs 470 per kg.

The official rate of live broiler chicken is Rs 416 per kg, while the official price of broiler meat has been fixed at Rs 630 per kg.

Contrary to the official rate, chicken meat is being sold at high prices. Poultry Association leader Malik Zarif said that the reason for the high price of chicken is demand and supply.

It should be noted that the prices of chicken are different in other cities of the country.
