CJCSC Gen Sahir Shamshad & South African air chief discuss regional security, military ties

RAWALPINDI: South African Air Chief Marshal Lt Gen Wiseman Simombo called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a wide range of areas of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation, according to the ISPR.

The dignitaries discussed practical steps to further expand the level and scope of engagement between the two militaries. They also discussed the broader geopolitical landscape.

The CJCSC shared Pakistan’s perspective on developing the regional security landscape and highlighted Pakistan’s role in regional peace and stability.

The distinguished guest appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, a well-dressed contingent of the trilateral contingent presented a guard of honour to the distinguished guest.
