CM Gandapur de-notifes Sher Afzal Marwat’s brother from KP cabinet

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur de-notifies Khalid Latif Marwat, brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet.

In a notification, the Administration Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government announced CM Ali Amin Gandapur’s decision to dismiss Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Science and Technology Khalid Marwat.

On his de-notification, Sher Afzal Marwat’s brother has ceased to hold the Portfolio of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister with immediate effect.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause-2 of Section-3 of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisors and Special Assistants to the Chief Minister (Appointment) Act, 1989, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is pleased to de-notify Mr. Khalid Latif Khan, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Science & Technology and Information Technology, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the notification reads.

Earlier, reports were circulating that CM KP Gandapur had complained to PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail regarding Khalid Marwat that he was interfering in various departments while his performance was also criticized. On the other hand, differences also emerged in PTI when Khalid Latif Khan Marwat joined the KP cabinet.
