PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has urged PTI workers to prepare for a “do-or-die” agitation to secure the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

Addressing a public meeting, ‘Awami jirga‘, CM Ali Amin Gandapur instructed workers to await Imran Khan’s final call, expected this month.

The gathering, initially scheduled for Peshawar, was relocated to a service area on the Peshawar-Islamabad M1 Motorway for easier accessibility. Gandapur conveyed Imran Khan’s message, urging workers to start preparations for the movement.

The KP CM vowed not to return until Imran Khan is released from prison. He and other party leaders took an oath to comply with Khan’s call. Gandapur warned the federal government to stop actions against PTI leaders, threatening a “befitting lesson” if they continue.

Gandapur called upon workers to make the “ultimate sacrifice” for Khan’s release, stating that peace overtures have been unsuccessful. He claimed PTI leaders face false cases under a well-planned strategy.

With the whole country looking to PTI workers, Gandapur emphasized agitation as the only option.
