Coal mine explosion in Darra Adam Khel claims three lives

KOHAT: In a tragic incident, three miners died and four others were injured after an explosion led to the collapse of a coal mine in the Dara Adamkhel area of Kohat District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the details, the collapse happened due to the explosion caused by gas accumulation within the mine. The dead miners were identified as Suleman, Abdul Hadi, and Habib Gul. Police and rescue officials swiftly moved to rescue all individuals trapped under the debris.

KP police said that the bodies of the deceased, hailed from the Shangla district, and the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.

In a separate incident in Balochistan, a landslide in a coal mine killed two workers from Shangla, identified as Amanullah and Aftab.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased miners. “We share the grief of the mourning families equally,” he said.

Gandapur also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and patience for the families.
