ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that some form of constitutional amendment will come out next week, after consulting all parties, and a draft of the constitutional amendment will be brought out.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, he said that Bilawal Bhutto has the right to express his opinion on any issue; if he has tweeted, there is nothing wrong with it.
Khawaja Asif said that nothing should be said before the draft of the 27th Constitutional Amendment is finalized.
Talking about the Pak-Afghan talks, he said that our delegation has left for Istanbul and there will be talks with the Afghan delegation tomorrow.
He said that we have only one demand from Afghanistan, which is that their land should not be used against us.
The Defense Minister said that Afghanistan should act wisely for peace in the region.
If there is no possibility of progress in the talks, then the talks are nothing but a waste of time.
It should be noted that the government has announced the 27th Constitutional Amendment, for which consultations have been initiated with allied parties and stakeholders.
The Pakistan Peoples Party has called a meeting of the party’s CEC on November 6, in which a decision will be taken regarding support for the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
On the other hand, the PTI has announced resistance and said that we will oppose the 27th Constitutional Amendment because it is a direct attack on the federation.
