Oil and ghee prices increase further
ISLAMABAD: The low-income group is desperately waiting for relief from the government as their situation has worsened after the closure of utility stores.
The high rate of inflation in the open market has made essential commodities more unaffordable for the poor.
The price of oil and ghee has increased from 590 to 600 rupees per kilogram.
Similarly, the standard flour of a private company is being sold at 160 rupees per kilogram, while an 800 gram pack of tea leaves is available at 1760 to 1900 rupees.
Rice prices are also not coming down, which is causing serious concern for consumers.
This situation has become a big challenge for the low-income group and they expect immediate steps from the government to reduce their difficulties.
