FAISALABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders including Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz in a case related to the May 9 incidents.
ATC Faisalabad issued arrest warrants for Opposition Leaders in the National Assembly and Senate, Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz, over failure to appear before the court in a case registered at Civil Lines Police Station.
Other accused include PTI’s Kanwal Shauzab and former party leader and federal minister Fawad Chaudhry.
Meanwhile, PTI member provincial assembly (MPA) Junaid Afzal Sahi appeared before the court and said that a review petition has been filed which has been adjourned by the court.
The case registered ashing the PTI leaders includes setting ablaze a police van and aiding and abetting arson.
