Court issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Ali Amin & SM Qureshi in protest cases

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cases registered in connection with the PTI Haqeeqi Azadi March protests.

While other PTI leaders Faisal Javed Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan have been acquitted in the cases,.

Judicial Magistrate Naveed Khan has issued a written order for the hearing of the case filed at Koral Police Station.

It has been stated in the ruling that non-bailable warrants were issued for Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Ali Amin Gandapur for their continuous non-appearance despite the summons.

The court acquitted Faisal Javed Khan and Ali Nawaz Awan due to a lack of evidence and fixed the case for rehearing on May 20.

It is pertinent to mention that the founder of PTI, Imran Khan has already been acquitted by Dalits in this case of the real freedom march.
