Quetta bleeds, one dead & 14 injured in blast

Quetta: An explosion was reported near a gas company vehicle in Quetta, as a result of which one person was killed and 14 injured.

According to the deputy commissioner of Harnai, one person was killed and 14 injured as a result of an explosion near a gas company vehicle on Harnai Daki Road in Quetta.

Rescue personnel immediately reached the spot and started shifting the injured to the district headquarters hospital for immediate medical attention.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area to arrest the accused.

Earlier this month, the district administration completed a rescue operation after 18 miners were trapped in a coal mine in Harnai, Balochistan.

In today’s operation, rescue teams recovered four more bodies from the mine. The total number of bodies recovered from the mine rose to 12 while six other miners were rescued with injuries.

The bodies and the injured were immediately shifted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of life due to the explosion in the coal mine in Harnai district of Balochistan.
