Armed men killed two brothers in Karachi

KARACHI: In a tragic incidenttwo brothers were killed and three others injured in a firing incident at their house in the SITE area of Karachi. According to the police, four to five armed men broke into the house and started shooting.

According to one of the injured brothers, nothing was looted from the house and they did not have any enmity with anybody. The victims all government employees were identified as Samiullah, Asadullah who died on the spot while their brothers Akramullah, Shafiullah and Amir Abdullah were injured. One of the brothers is stated to be in critical condition.

The police are still investigating the incident, and the locals have claimed that armed robberies have become a routine affair in the area. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and the police have been working to apprehend the miscreants.

In another incident, a 25-year-old man was injured in a firing incident in Manzoor Colony where he was shot during a dacoity after resisting the robbers. After snatching the victim’s motorcycle and a cellular phone, robbers managed to escape. The police also initiated an inquiry into this incident and started an effort to arrest the culprits.

 It is ominous that armed robberies and other violent acts have been on an upward trend in Karachifor which the authorities must take prompt action to ensure safety and security for the citizens.
