FAISALABAD: In a recent turn of events, police have arrested a 10-year old boy in an investigation of the newly wed bride death case in which the bride died from a gunshot under mysterious circumstances in Faisalabad.

The incident took place on December 2 in Chak 233 GB in Jaranwala Tehsil of Faisalabad where the girl died from a gunshot wound to her head while making a TikTok video.

The initial statements provided by the woman’s family stated that the bride was making a TikTok video while placing the gun on her head after which she pulled the trigger, unfortunately the gun was loaded and resulted in an instant death.

SSP Tariq Mahboob, however, claimed that following the post-mortem, medical professionals and forensic specialists disagreed with the claim that the bride had shot herself. Additionally, there was no confirmation of the TikTok video on her phone.

The inquiry found that the bride was killed when her 10-year-old nephew unintentionally fired the revolver. To shield his grandchild, the bride’s father allegedly made a fake statement.

The 10-year-old youngster, who is allegedly the bride’s nephew, has been apprehended by police. SSP Mahboob stated that following the forensic report, further information will be made public.
