LAHORE: A 5.1 magnitude earthquake jolted several cities in Punjab including Lahore, Jhelum, Gujrat, and Gujranwala on Thursday at 11:21 am.
The tremors were also felt in areas including Kamalia, Khanewal, Chichawatni, Bhalwal, Chiniot, Nankana Sahib, Hafizabad, and other cities.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) confirmed that the earthquake’s epicenter was located near Kharian in Gujrat district, with a depth of 15 kilometers.
The earthquake propelled residents into a state of panic, while the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) confirmed that there have been no reports of casualties or significant property damage.
