New York: Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations came under cyber-attack, here on Friday night.

As per the details, in the attack, the official email ID, which was being used by the information wing, and the YouTube channel were hacked.

Hackers changed the banner, content and name of the channel after gaining control of Lit.

According to reports, the incident took place on Friday at 4 pm US time.

The Pakistani mission has requested people to ignore emails and content shared on its official channel as they have been hacked.

Last year, the aviation ministry’s website suffered at least two cyber-attacks and a message in a foreign language was posted on the home page.

The website aviation.gov.pk was taken down but was later restored by IT experts.

Within hours, he was turned down again. Ministry officials have resumed work to restore the website, but it remains closed pending filing of this story.

Several government portals have come under cyber-attacks in the past, including the website of the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of External Affairs earlier this year.
