Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun elucidated that while conducting operations against illegal parking at Secretariat Blocks, the authorities found that numerous employees were driving and riding motorcycles without a license.

He emphasized that accountability starts with government employees themselves before applying laws to the rest of the population. The ITP has instructed its offices and personnel to focus on issuing licenses up to the deadline of the campaign.

But some employees objected to the tight deadline. One federal worker, Hassan Mahmood, said that it was not easy to grant licenses to thousands of workers in the capital within nine days. Another employee, Nadeem, said that there were huge delays at traffic offices and wondered how the target would be met within the time frame.

The CTO called on workers to comply and get licenses in time, threatening that no exceptions would be granted afterward.
