Dr.Akbar Nasir appointed as new IG of Gilgit Baltistan

LAHORE: In a recent development, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, a BS-20 Officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, presently serving in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has been transferred as Inspector General of Police, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, under Section

The transfer has been made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, with immediate effect and until further orders.

Earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Punjab Dr Usman Anwar, was transferred, whereas Rao Abdul Karim has been appointed as the new IG Punjab, the notification of which has also been issued.

Captain (retd) Usman Anwar has been appointed as DG FIA DG FIA Riffat Mukhtar has been directed to report to the Establishment Division.

Last night, the Punjab government sent 3 names to the federation for the post of IG Punjab, including the names of Wasim Sial, Bilal Kamiana, and Rao Abdul Karim.
