SKARDU: A renowned and seasoned physician, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Naz, survived a brutal attack on Thursday night in Skardu.
As per sources, unidentified men attacked the doctor and left him seriously injured on the road. He works as an Anaesthetist at Allied Hospital, a public-sector hospital in Faisalabad.
Naz recently returned to Pakistan from war-torn Gaza and went to Skardu, where he faced an unfortunate incident.
According to the report, Dr. Khalid was given immediate medical assistance by the staff of the Regional Headquarters Hospital in Skardu.
The hospital staff promptly shifted him to the emergency department and initiated treatment, potentially saving his life.
Dr. Khalid Mahmood is a recipient of the “Khidmat-e-Khalq Award” from Islamic scholar Mulana Tariq Jameel for his contribution towards the medical services of society. He is also the recipient of the Pride of Faisalabad Award.
