ISLAMABAD: For the convenience of citizens and the implementation of a modern system in the federal capital, Islamabad Traffic Police has taken a major and important revolutionary step in the procedure for obtaining a driving license.

According to the details, on the special instructions of the Federal Interior Minister, Islamabad Traffic Police has shifted all the stages of the license to modern technology and made the system completely paperless and cashless. The aim of this move is to create convenience for citizens and make government services faster, transparent and easier.

According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Police, this development has been implemented under the leadership of Inspector General Islamabad and Chief Traffic Police Officer Muhammad Sarfaraz Work, which is an important effort to build the system on digital lines.

Under the new digital system, citizens will no longer need to bring additional documents or photocopies to get a driving license. Citizens will be able to complete the steps of obtaining a license by presenting only their original national identity card.

Moreover, the fee payment method has also been made completely digital and cashless, with applicants now able to pay fees on the spot through banking apps, mobile wallets and other digital means.

According to officials, this move will not only reduce the chances of corruption but will also help in saving time and resources of citizens.

It should be noted that the Islamabad Traffic Police has previously made the challan payment system cashless, after which this is being considered another big step towards digital governance.
