DUBAI: Several Pakistani players have made significant progress in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI rankings, while batsman Babar Azam has moved up one place to sixth.
In the batsmen’s rankings, Babar Azam has moved up from 7th to 6th with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha has also moved up two places to 16th with 630 points.
Former captain Mohammad Rizwan remains at 31st with 560 points, while Fakhar Zaman has dropped one place to 37th. Saim Ayub’s position remained at 44th.
In the one-day batsmen’s rankings, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell is at the top with 802 points, while India’s Shubman Gill is second and Virat Kohli is third.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has moved up two places to seventh, while Haris Rauf has also moved up two places to 20th.
Naseem Shah has dropped two places to 49th, while Mohammad Wasim Jr. has moved up one place to 70th. Mohammad Nawaz remains at 80th.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan continues to hold the top spot, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed maintains his second place and England’s Jofra Archer has moved up to third.
