GILGIT: The newly elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Amjad Hussain, has announced the names of his cabinet, according to media reports.
An official notification has also been issued in this regard. Members of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Istehkam-e- Pakistan Party (IPP) have been included in the cabinet.
According to the notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department and the Cabinet Department, on the recommendation of Chief Minister Amjad Hussain, the Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan has approved the appointment of 12 members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly as provincial ministers.
According to the notification, 8 members of the PPP and 4 members of the IPP have been included in the cabinet.
From the PPP, Zulfiqar Ali Murad, Syed Jalal Shah, Muhammad Ali Akhtar, Neknam Karim, Iqbal Hassan, Raja Nasir Khan, Muhammad Naseem and Syed Tauqir Mehdi have been appointed ministers.
Similarly, Aman Ali, Asad Shafiq, Anwar Ali and Muhammad Dilpazir from the Stability Pakistan Party have been included in the cabinet.
The notification did not announce the portfolio (department) of any minister, which indicates that the distribution of various ministries will be done later.
