ISLAMABAD: An important problem has come up in the administrative system of issuing driving license as a result of which all types of driving license services have been suspended across Punjab including Lahore.
The glitch has affected the issuance of learner’s permits, renewals, new licenses, and international driving permits.
CTO Ammara Athar has confirmed that the issue is due to technical issues within the system, and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) team is actively working to resolve the issues.
Due to the current situation, driving license processing has come to a complete halt as necessary upgrades and improvements are being made to the system.
The disruption means that people looking to obtain a learner’s permit, renew an existing license, or apply for a new or international driving license will face delays. The CTO assured the public that efforts are on to resolve the technical difficulties and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
