KARACHI: Customers of various banks are facing problems while using Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in some parts of Pakistan due to communication disruption between 1Link and banks.
Reports say that people are frustrated with ATMs being out of order as they are unable to withdraw cash for their needs.
According to local media, customers complained that they were also facing problems while doing online transactions.
1Link officials, on the other hand, have confirmed that there are connectivity issues with some banks, adding that efforts are underway to restore services.
Last month, 1LINK issued a public advisory to refute rumours circulating on social media and WhatsApp warning that ATMs and online banking services in Pakistan were under cyber-attack.
The payment gateway system urged the public to ignore these baseless claims.
