Eid al-Adha 2024: 11 livestock markets to be set up in Rawalpindi from June 7

RAWALPINDI: The district administration will establish 11 livestock markets from June 7 and has imposed a ban on the establishment of illegal markets and the sale of sacrificial animals on streets and roads.

There will be three livestock markets: Gulistan Colony, Al-Haram City, and Bhata Chowk.

There will be two livestock markets in Rawalpindi city: a temporary one in Rawat and one at Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Sector Two.

There will be two livestock markets at Gujar Khan on GT Road. Marketplaces will be built in Taxila close to the New Sharif Hospital on GT Road and the HIT near Sunday Bazaar in the Taxila cantonment.

A makeshift livestock market will be established at Mangal Bypass in Tehsil Kallar Syedan, and it will be situated at Sakhi Sarwar Road in Kahuta.

The purpose of these arrangements is to make it easier for the locals to buy and sell sacrificial animals in advance of the holiday.
