RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed eight terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed group ‘Fitnat-ul-Hindustan’ in two intelligence-based operations in Kharan and Mastung districts of Balochistan on June 25 and 26, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, the security forces took action on June 25 based on intelligence information about the movement of a group of terrorists in Kharan district.
As a result of this effective and skillful operation, three terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy ‘Fitnat-ul-Hindustan’ were killed and several others were injured.
According to the ISPR, on June 26, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Mastung district on information about the presence of a possible suicide bomber.
During the operation, security forces effectively targeted the hideout of the terrorists, where 5 terrorists, including the suicide bomber, were killed after an intense exchange of fire.
During these operations by the security forces, weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and motorcycles used by them were also recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
The ISPR said that a clearance operation is underway to eliminate the presence of more terrorists operating under Indian patronage in the area.
According to the statement, under the vision ‘Determination of Stability’ approved by the Federal Apex Committee of the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counter-terrorism campaign with full intensity until the complete elimination of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
