ISLAMABAD: Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik has said he will review international petrol and diesel price indices this week.
In a statement regarding the prices of petrol and diesel, Petroleum Minister Ali Pervez Malik said that the government is not giving priority to any sector, nor is it placing an unnecessary burden on any sector.
The government is determined to transfer every possible benefit to the consumers while remaining within the scope of its international obligations.
He said that the Prime Minister has so far reduced the price of diesel by Rs 200 per liter and the price of petrol by Rs 155 per liter. This week, he will review the international price indices of petrol and diesel.
Earlier, the federal government had decided not to change petrol and diesel prices here on Friday. The new petrol prices will be effective from June 27, 2026 till next week.
