Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa inquired whether the President of the State Dr. Arif Alvi was taken on board before announcing the date of the election, to which the Election Commission lawyer said that we are not bound to take the President on board.

The court got angry with the Election Commission’s response and the Chief Justice said that in civilized societies, decisions are made through discussion. Why is the Election Commission hesitant to consult President of Pakistan in this matter?

The Chief Justice said that the Election Commission should talk with the President, we will wait for the answer, does anyone have any objection to consult with the President of the Election Commission.

Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa said that we will not take anyone’s role, but we want those who have the responsibility to fulfill it, we want to end a dispute that general elections should be held in the country, but when are the elections to be held?

Constitutional players have to decide. PTI’s counsel said we have no objection while the Attorney General said what objection could be raised.
