Electricity bill relief for families affected by Mangla Dam expansion
Muzaffarabad: The Azad Kashmir government has approved the waiver of electricity arrears of 2,376 households affected by the expansion of the Mangla Dam.
This decision was made in light of the agreement reached between the government and the Joint Public Action Committee.
According to an official notification, the electricity arrears of the affected families worth about Rs 140 million (140 million) have been completely waived, which has been approved by the President of Azad Kashmir.
As per details, this decision is being described as a major relief for the Mangla Dam victims. According to officials, this move is a significant step towards reducing the financial hardship faced by the victims and fulfilling the promises made to them.
Additionally, the leaders of the Action Committee have also appreciated this government decision and have also demanded the early approval of other demands under the agreement.
