JHELUM: A case has been registered in Jhelum after a case was registered against religious scholar and YouTuber Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza for using blasphemous language in a video.

Police confirmed that the FIR was registered on a complaint by Hameer Ali Qadri.

According to officials, the case involves Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, w

hich deals with offences related to blasphemy, and provisions of the Electronic Crimes Prevention Act, 2016. The FIR was registered at the Jhelum City Police Station, police said.

Arrested under 3 MPO

Law enforcement officials said that Engineer Mirza was arrested under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) on Monday night and sent to jail. The move comes amid a growing controversy over his remarks in an online video, which has been criticized by religious groups.

On Monday night, Jhelum police arrested the religious scholar under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). Authorities confirmed that his academy has also been sealed.
