Ex-cricketers urge best medical care for Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistani cricketers have expressed concern over the news about the health of PTI founder Imran Khan and demanded that he be provided with the best medical facilities.

Former captain Wasim Akram has said that it is heartbreaking to hear about Imran Khan’s health problems, and he hopes that the authorities will take this matter seriously.

Shahid Afridi says that Imran Khan’s health and treatment are his fundamental right and this facility should be provided at all costs.

Shoaib Akhtar said that for the last 3 months he has been raising funds for Imran Khan’s Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in the US. He expressed regret over the news that Imran Khan’s vision in one eye was affected and said that he prays that Imran Khan gets the best treatment and recovers soon.

Younis Khan also said that Imran Khan needs immediate medical attention. Respect for humanity and national heroes should come before everything.

Waqar Younis said that leaving politics aside, our national hero who gave us the greatest joy on the field of play, whose cancer hospital proved helpful to thousands of people, should be provided with timely and appropriate treatment for Imran Khan.
