ISLAMABAD: The Shaban Moon has been sighted across the country, after which tomorrow, Wednesday, January 21, will be the first day of Shaban.
However, the possible dates of Ramadan have also been revealed with the sighting of the Shaban moon.
If Shaban consists of 29 days, the first day of Ramadan will be on February 19, 2026, while if Shaban is 30 days long, Ramadan will begin on February 20, 2026.
The final announcement regarding the start of Ramadan will be made, as per tradition, by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will hold a meeting at the end of the month of Shaban and decide on the sighting of the moon in the light of the evidence.
