ؒLAHORE: PTI social media activist Falak Javed, arrested in a case of making a fake video viral, got important relief from the Lahore High Court, where the court granted his bail.

During the hearing of the case, Lahore High Court Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry granted Falak Javed’s bail application and directed him to submit a surety bond of Rs 100,000.

During the hearing, the accused’s lawyer Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq told the court that the NCCIA had registered a case against Falak Javed and others, alleging that they made a fake video of Uzma Bukhari and made it viral on social media.

The defense lawyer took the position that Falak Javed has been in custody since September 24, 2025 and has been in jail continuously since this period, while the investigation has been completed and there is no need for further physical remand. They requested the court to release the accused on bail as the evidence in the case has not yet been proven in court.

After hearing the arguments, the court granted bail and ruled that there was no need to keep the accused in custody at this stage. However, the court also made it clear that the final decision in the case would be taken on the basis of evidence and witnesses during the trial.
