ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initiated the Internal Job Posting (IJP) process that will lead to the appointment of Inspectors in the Inland Revenue Department.
According to sources, the IJP scheme has already picked out 24 Inspectors from different Regional Tax Offices. The FBR’s decision is to give the selected officers a performance allowance starting from January 2026.
The allowance will depend on strict regulations concerning attendance, discipline, and manners. Any wrongdoing, such as misconduct or corruption, will immediately result in the cancellation of the allowance within a month.
The officials mentioned that the allowance will be based on the 2015 circular, which is targeted at improving employee efficiency and fortifying discipline in tax offices across the country.
