ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to keep all its offices open despite the weekly holiday on February 28 in view of tax collection.

According to important instructions issued by the FBR, office activities will continue as per normal working hours in LTOs, MTOs, CTOs and RTOs. Instructions have also been issued to the Chief Commissioners of Inland Revenue across the country to ensure implementation of the orders.

Officials say that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the targets of tax and duties collection so that maximum revenue can be collected.

According to the FBR, staff will be present in the offices even on the holiday and guidance and facilities will be provided to the taxpayers so that there is no problem in the payment process.
