ISLAMABAD: It has been announced that all government offices will remain open in the federal capital despite the holiday on December 26.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all government offices in Islamabad will remain open on December 26.
It should be noted that the district administration has declared a local holiday within the limits of Islamabad on Friday, December 26, 2025. And a formal notification has been issued in this regard with the approval of the District Magistrate Islamabad.
The notification said that all government offices within the revenue limits of Islamabad will remain closed on December 26. However, institutions related to essential services will be exempted from this holiday.
These institutions include the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Capital Development Authority, ICT Administration, Islamabad Police, IESCO, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines and hospitals.
