Federal govt declares public holiday on December 25

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Monday declared December 25, 2024, as a public holiday on account of Quaid-e-Azam Day along with Christmas.

The notification issued by the Cabinet Division stated that all government offices will remain closed on December 25.

The nation will observe a holiday to commemorate the birth anniversary of the nation’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and the Christmas celebrations.

Meanwhile, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also announced all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on December 25.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on December 25, 2024, being a public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the central bank said in a statement.
