ISLAMABAD: Social media users continue to debunk fake news in Pakistan, and September 11 is being claimed as a holiday to mark the death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
As the nation is going to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of Pakistan, it is to be clarified that Wednesday will not be a local or public holiday in any district of Pakistan.
September 11 has not been included as a national holiday in the official gazette of 2024. Quaid’s death anniversary was celebrated at his mausoleum in Karachi with recitation of Quran and prayers. To pay homage to the founder of Pakistan, special programs were aired by the state broadcaster.
