Federal govt releases Toshakhana record for July-September quarter

ISLAMABAD (Rizwan Abbasi): The Cabinet Division has released the Toshakhana record for the quarter of July-September 2025, which includes details of gifts received by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, and Power Minister Owais Leghari are also among those who received valuable gifts in this quarter.

Similarly, the Chairman Senate, Speaker National Assembly, Secretary Senate, Information Minister Atta Tarar, IT Minister Shahzah Fatima, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik, and the Interior Secretary also received gifts.

In the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25, valuable watches, decoration pieces, paintings, perfumes, shields, carpets, tea sets, rifles, wall clocks, bowls, pens, and diaries, among other gifts, were received, which were deposited by all the recipients in the Toshakhana.

The Cabinet Division is estimating the gifts, and the process is underway.

It should be noted that the Shahbaz Sharif government has previously released the Toshakhana records from 2002 to June 2025, as well as the records from 1997 to 2001, for the public.

This move is being seen as a significant step forward in terms of transparency and the provision of information to the public.
